Flaming June (copy in acrylic paint)
We visited an exhibition at Leighton House Museum (well worth a visit) in London to see the Flaming June Exhibition. I set myself a challenge to do a copy to try and replicate the skin under fabric Leighton has achieved and also the flow of the fabric. I really enjoyed the challenge and learnt such a lot from studying the image more closely. Copying an old master is very informative and advances your skills, like the apprentices of old used to do.
